In the second episode of this brand new podcast, hosts Che Lingo (rapper, musician, anime lover) and Bec Hill (comedian, writer, anime-curious), discuss the second film in the Rebuild of Evangelion franchise: Evangelion: 2.22 You Can (Not) Advance.

Che reveals how his anime tastes have change and why he relates to Shinji, whilst Bec recalls being traumatised by Ghost in the Shell and weighs up the film’s similarities to Shakespeare’s tragedies!

Mari Illustrious-Makinami pilots Provisional Unit-05 to defeat the excavated Third Angel. Asuka Langley-Shikinami and EVA-02 defeat the Seventh Angel. The Eighth Angel appears and attacks Nerv HQ. EVA-03 is taken over by the Ninth Angel during testing and Shinji deploys to stop it, but learns Asuka is aboard. Gendo switches EVA-01's controls over to the Dummy System and begins fighting EVA-03.

All four Evangelion films, including the much anticipated final chapter, are now streaming exclusively on Prime Video.
