Imposter Syndrome, Identity and Ironing with Samira Mighty!

Joining me for another episode of The Waffle Shop is the ridiculously talented Samira Mighty!

Samira joins me for a waffle about all things music, coping mechanisms, and the songs that have soundtracked her journey so far!

You might recognise Samira from Love Island, but wait until you hear her sing!

We have a waffle about her brand new EP, Dancefloors & Drama Vol.1, the inspiration behind it, and who her dream collaboration would be! There is a particular standout track for us here at The Waffle Shop, and it's a banger!

The song ‘Broke Me Good’ is Samira’s intensely personal track yet, forged from the trauma of a destructive past relationship. She sings over stormy 80s synths and electric guitars that is guaranteed to get you dancing! “I’m played, I’m used, but I’m alive. If I survive this fall, guess I’m invincible…”

We also have a waffle about imposter syndrome and how sometimes it can limit our beliefs. One bit of advice that came out of today's episode was to always challenge it! You are far more capable than you think, and you deserve greatness!

I really hope you enjoy the episode, and don't forget to hit the subscribe button!
