Advertising legend Jim Thornton on the secrets of creative communications

Jim Thornton is Executive Creative Director at VCCP London and one of the most successful and respected advertising creatives in the UK.

Jim began his career as a copywriter at J Walter Thompson, London back in the late 90s and his career has taken in lead creative roles at GGT, TBWA, Mother, Leo Burnett and Arnold KLP before joining VCCP in 2012.

He has also run his own advertising consultancy and even launched the world’s first death magazine, to help people cope with bereavement,
