Episode Breakdown: Episode 16: How to Marie Kondo Your Wedding

Wedding tip: Celina is adding yet another spreadsheet into the mix - this one will make sending thank-you cards a breeze!

Main topic: We hope you're ready for some wedding planning #realtalk! This week, with help from the hilarious and insightful Aleisha McCormack from The Bridechilla Podcast, Bridechilla.com and The Bridechilla Guides, we're embarking on a little experiment: applying the KonMari method to wedding planning! By the end of this episode, you should be ready to wave goodbye to any elements of your big day that aren't working for you, and resume planning a celebration that is delightfully clutter-free.

Wedding dilemma: A listener writes, "The venue we booked some time ago has recently redecorated the main function room where we will be having our dinner and spending most of our day. We were not aware they were changing the room until it was completed and were only able to see the room after we had made our big payment, and we are 12 weeks to our wedding day so this leaves us with very little options. The room has gone from a nice bright, clean slate with white walls, perfect for decorating, to a much darker, beige/ mushroom coloured room, with a strong geometric wallpaper on two large walls, which now makes it a very, very different room with a very different, formal feel. I could go on, but, suffice to say, the room is not to my taste at all and I feel really let down by the venue but feel there is nothing we can do about it. The venue have been unapologetic with the wedding planner simply saying she didn’t do it. Do we have any rights here or is there anything I can do?” Our advice for this listener involves reshuffling the order of the day and bringing in an emergency stylist.

Something to do when you're not planning your wedding: This week, Celina brings an exciting new food trend to the table, but Claire's not convinced!
