Episode 4 : The Water Dancer with Ta-Nehisi Coates (ENGLISH VERSION)

Hello everyone, this is the first English episode of “In Le Paris Noir’s Bookshelf”!

I had a great conversation with Ta-Nehisi Coates. His first novel, The Water Dancer, selected for Oprah’s Book Club, is finally translad in French. It is a tour de force, a fantastic recollection of the Ante-Bellum South and a compelling love story.

Ta-Nehisi reminds us of how central the institution of Slavery was for the foundation of the United States.

We also talked about his relationship with Paris and his new position at Howard University (aka the Black Mecca).

If you are a listener of le Tchip podcast, you know I am a huge fan of his work. I hope you enjoyed this episode!

A bientôt !

PS : La version française arrive bientôt !
