Shoutout to you for listening to last week’s episode with the incredible Coco Khan who was just phenomenal.

I screamed at my phone when I got the calendar invite for today’s guest! Today I’m speaking with Lolly Adefope. Lolly is a comedian and actress. Lolly specialises in Character comedy. She’s appeared in a number of British TV shows including Sick Note, This Time with Alan Partridge, Ghosts and Shrill.

In today’s episode Lolly talk about role models and representation in entertainment. SHe shares how she got started in comedy. She takes us through her audition process. We find out how she determines if something is funny or not. We talk about big breaks and if she feels that the US has more opportunities than the UK. It’s a goodie so let’s go.

I loved chatting with Lolly! What you didn’t get is all the great jokes we had before recording the episode, so sorry! You can watch Lolly right now in Shrill on BBC iPlayer and it’s available on Hulu as well. You should definitely be following her on Twitter and Instagram @lollyadefope where she posts consistently entertaining content.
