Digital Upfronts Special: 100 years of innovation and storytelling at the BBC

This week’s episode comes slap bang in the middle of 2022's Digital Upfronts, IAB UK's month long series of unmissable events with some of the biggest players in digital advertising: Twitter, Amazon Ads, TikTok, Meta, YouTube, Snap - and of course BBC News. As the corporation marks its 100th birthday, James talks to Lori Suchcicki, SVP for Advertising & Commercial Partnerships EMEA at BBC Studios to reflect on the BBC News Upfront which took place at the world famous Broadcasting House on 12 October.

They talk about the BBC’s remit outside of the UK and the role it plays with international audiences, why in its centenary year the BBC remains such an authentic and trustworthy storyteller, and how an organisation that is 100 years old manages to balance its legacy with innovation. They also of course discuss the huge BBC names who featured in the star-studded Upfronts line-up: Lauren Laverne, Gabby Logan and Huw Edwards.
