How advisers can help clients with care planning

As people live longer, advisers are not only having to figure out how to fund their clients' ever-longer retirements, but also address the possibility of having to fund the rising cost of social care.

Government's of different colours have made several aborted attempts to help people fund their care needs but none have made it into reality. Last year prime minister Boris Johnson promised to fix social care "for once and for all" but no plans have been forthcoming.

So in this week's episode, reporter Amy Austin talks to Tracy Crookes, an adviser at Quilter Private Client Advisers and Graham Duffy, care specialist at Just Group, about how advisers can plan for social care costs given the uncertainty of whether there will be reform in the future and how advisers ought to adapt as demand for advice in this area grows.

Then, she talks to reporters Imogen Tew and Rachel Mortimer about some of this week's headlines.
