Has RDR achieved its aims?

In this episode of the FTAdviser In Focus podcast we assess the Retail Distribution Review 10 years on. The RDR was implemented on 31.12. 2012, introducing a raft of measures to make the advice market more transparent and professional, in order to inspire consumer confidence and trust. But while professionalism has increased there have also been a fair few scandals. Square Mile's Scott Dakers and Morningstar's Martin Coyle assess whether the RDR has achieved the goals it was designed to achieve.
