How inflation is affecting pension savings

Over the past few months inflation has risen higher and higher, now hitting a fresh 40-year high of 9.1 per cent, with no signs of slowing down. In fact, it is expected to reach double digits soon.

On this week's edition of the FTAdviser Podcast, news editor Amy Austin is joined by Russell & Co IFA Tim Morris and James Jones-Tinsley, a self-invested technical specialist at Barnett Waddingham to discuss what this mean for people saving into a pension.

They discuss whether retirees are majorly impacted by rising inflation as well as what it means in terms of drawdown.
