The Darker Side of Cruising

The results of war, crusades, conflict, slavery and other atrocities against mankind are seen by cruisers more than others. Today we reflect by visiting Chania and Canakkale and ask which came first; the poppy or Armistice Day? And which country started the poppy appeal? to every port. We reflect on Remembrance Sunday and the history, often incorrectly told because it is recorded by the victor and taught to suit belief. Cruising and cruisers see the results of these conflicts.
