Ben Hillier is a producer and songwriter. He has worked with the likes of Depeche Mode, Blur, Elbow, Nadine Shah and Doves amongst many more.

We talk his home setup, transitioning into writing, collaborating with Nadine Shah, The Pool, recording around the world, producing from the live room, mixing, getting the feel right, sculpting songs from live sessions, working on debut albums, coming into your own on later records, ageism in the music industry and the parallels in starting and finishing a record.
