Carbon zero by 2030: How Queenstown Lakes is leading the race to decarbonize tourism – Revelstoke E10

The decision gave people goosebumps. Two regional tourism organizations in this popular Aotearoa New Zealand destination have led their community and stakeholders to commit to an audacious goal: to reach carbon zero by 2030. The target is meant to build momentum toward the kinds of bold climate action that are desperately needed in NZ and beyond. What made this commitment possible, and what’s next? We speak with two tourism leaders to find out: Mat Woods, CEO at Destination Queenstown and Tim Barke, CEO at Lake Wānaka Tourism.

Our hosts are Robyn Goldsmith, Destination & Sustainability Manager at Tourism Revelstoke, and Rodney Payne, CEO at Destination Think.
