Saw is a 2004 American horror film, directed by James Wan (in his feature directorial debut) and written by Leigh Whannell from a story by Wan and Whannell. It stars Whannell, Cary Elwes, Danny Glover, Monica Potter, Michael Emerson, Ken Leung, and Tobin Bell. It is the first installment in the Saw film series.


Two strangers awaken in a room with no recollection of how they got there, and soon discover they're pawns in a deadly game perpetrated by a notorious serial killer.
