The Drop Daily—5 Things for 4/30/20

Happy Thursday! Hope you enjoy.

  1. Ozzy Osbourne from 1997 on Tapes Archive. This never before heard interview with Ozzy from 1997 touches on his love for his fans, the legacy of Ozzfest, censorship, and a lot more. As always, a great listen.
  2. Love from Philly. Wanted to tell you about this “virtual city wide music and arts festival created to bring hope, inspiration, resources and love to Philly’s entertainment and arts community in these difficult times.” May 1-3, this is 3 days of performances with all proceeds benefiting 30amp Circuit’s grants for Philly musicians, entertainment professionals, venues, and charitable organizations. You can see people like G. Love, Kurt Vile, Marc Brownstein, Spaga with Aron Magner, Dr. Dog and more.
  3. Looking at Rift on HF Pod. We looked at this terrific album as part of our Back Tracking series, and we had a lot of fun breaking it down, sharing some clips and of course having a lot of laughs as well.
  4. 8pm ET—Mike Gordon Live on Instagram. With special guest, photographer Danny Clinch!
  5. 9pm ET—DJ Logic Livestream. In partnership with Garcia’s at The Cap, DJ Logic will be spinning tunes in celebration of International Jazz Day. Sounds like a good time!
