The Ashes - Day 5 - Fourth Test - England SURVIVE! - Leach Comes Up Big - Crawley Scores 77

The 2021/22 Ashes series is continues in Sydney. England are already in a situation where all they are playing for is pride, but they will fight hard to try and avoid a whitewash. Australia, meanwhile, are hunting another 5-0. Australia declared late on day four to leave England a total of 388 to win.

Zak Crawley set off in fine style as he raced to 77, however, at the other end, wickets were falling. That is until Stokes and Bairstow got together again to slow Australia down and bring the draw into the match.

With things looking safe Pat Cummins brought himself on to bowl a magic spell, ripping into the England lower order. Boland continued his insane start to Test cricket taking the wicket of Bairstow, before Leach and Broad inched England towards the draw. And, despite a late Steve Smith intervention, they pulled it off, 9 wickets down with Jimmy Anderson playing out the final over. England SURVIVE!
