002 : Danny Way - Skateboarding Icon

From late 80’s child prodigy to genre shattering veteran professional, Danny Way has progressed what was possible on a skateboard for his entire 30-year career.

In this never before released interview from 2012 he discusses what drives him to be “Danny Way” and try to hit every topic that skate nerds such as myself would be dying to know.

This interview was just prior to the Melbourne premier of his documentary Waiting For Lightning chronicling his life story. I can’t recommend the documentary enough and if you check out the enhanced video version of this episode you’ll catch a bunch of footage from the film.

A link to both the video version of this episode and the Waiting for Lightning film are in this episodes show notes.

As it was actually recorded in a giant room for a magazine interview the sound quality isn’t at times the best, but it’s a great in-depth chat with a true icon of skateboarding.
