Designer Julian Thomson (and a very distracted opening!)

Julian Thomson has designed some of the most popular cars seen on the road to date. In his stint as design director for Jaguar, Julian was responsible for overseeing the Jaguar XE, E-Pace, F-Pace, and F-Type, as well as having involvement in some of the Land Rover products too - such as the Range Rover Evoque.

Earlier in his career, Julian 'penned' one of the most iconic sports cars globally - the Lotus Elise, a car that very quickly became a design classic and a benchmark for small sports car manufacturers.

This week, Julian joins Andy Jaye and John Marcar to talk through some of his career highlights so far and indicate what the future might look like, too, since his departure from JLR.

Before diving into the chat, Andy, Amy and John get a little bit distracted in the opening section (recorded, as it often is at Caffeine & Machine), and we open up the opportunity for you, the listener, to get your moans in for a new 'Marcar Moans' episode coming soon!
