Christopher Marwood Triskel Autumn Strings

It’s a funny thing with many of my interviews this term, according as I reconnect with people about events in the real world, we always begin with talking about the online experience, and there’s a certain amount of letting go that has to happen. I mean I know some events will be blended for a while yet, but yesterday when I was talking to Christopher Marwood of the Vanbrugh Quartet we were talking about moving concerts indoors and how marvelous that finally is. The Vanbrugh of course established the National String Quartet Foundation which has huge ambitions for chamber music in Ireland and the fostering of new and emerging talent. So Christopher has been programming and selecting concerts for Triskel Arts Centre’s Autumn String Series. The first concert is next Saturday September 11th, and well, we began by reflecting on the virtual year that’s been.
