Chris Beckett’s short stories began to appear in print in 1990. He has published 6 novels to date, the most recent being America City, and 3 short story collections, of which the latest is Spring Tide. His next novel, Beneath the World, a Sea, will appear in April 2019. He won the Clarke award for his novel Dark Eden, and the Edge Hill Prize for his story collection, The Turing Test. A former social worker, social work manager and social work lecturer, but now concentrating on his writing, he lives in Cambridge, England.
