From Airbus to Tractor - What one pilot is doing to survive the pandemic

In a previous Long Final episode, we looked at how the pandemic changed the lives and livelihoods of thousands of people in aviation almost in an instant. It's now over a year since government health measures saw aircraft and their crews grounded and furloughed.


Kieran O'Regan has been a pilot with Aer Lingus for the last five years, which he, like many in aviation, sees as a passion more than a job. However, now he is working as a farming contractor and has swapped the right-hand seat of an Airbus A320 for a tractor's cab.
