In an age of misinformation, food scientist Ann Reardon is combating fake viral food and cooking hacks by showing the real and potentially dangerous consequences. She's behind the hit YouTube channel How To Cook That and the author of Crazy Sweet Creations, and she talks about why she spends so much time debunking these viral videos.


Update: In response to Ann’s claims, YouTube says their Community Guidelines prohibit content that is intended to encourage dangerous activities that have an inherent risk of physical harm. According to YouTube, they use a combination of technology and people to enforce these guidelines.
