Welcome to episode 3 of Queer I Am, The Podcast, where I am talking with the wonderfully charismatic Daren Kay.

Daren wrote and published a book in 2021 called The Brightonians, a cosy heartwarming story about a group of socialites in competition with each other in a bid to unlock the secrets of the past. The book is funny, quirky and the characters help to celebrate our queer community of now and importantly pay respects to the past. The book is also based in our beautiful city, which makes it extra special!

We talk about the book and the sequel which is due in 2023, our queer community and honouring the legacy and history of those that came before us. Daren openly discusses his personal journey, allyship and the importance of this inside and outside of the queer community; we also have a good giggle too!
