Alan started their music career in 2007 and has independently released 4 solo albums and an album for his show ‘The way old friends do: a celebration of ABBA’, which he performed at Brighton Fringe in 2021. 

This year Alan released his first compilation album entitled ‘Before the Half light: Selected Works’. 

Not only do we have an incredible conversation about his art, we also talk about his queer journey, our mutual connection with growing up in Suffolk, and we are treated to two live performances from Alan in the studio.
