October's Very Owned: A Podcast About Drake

With the release of his album Scorpion, a vicious beef with Pusha T, and some gossip around Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, the last year of Drake's life has been one for the record books. So in honor of the rapper's 32nd birthday, the Noisey editorial staff returns to October's Very Owned, the only podcast about Drake (that we know of), to discuss just where Aubrey can go from here.

31 days of Drake finally comes to a close with a special guest. In the final episode, Noisey talks extensively about the month, and why Drake’s kaleidoscope of a personality offers such a fertile ground for cultural discussion. Thanks for listening.

Drake is one of the most famous artists in the world, without question, but is he influential? On this episode, the Noisey staff takes a look at the impact Drake has had on a younger generation. Oh, and also, that time he got peed on.

We asked you, the listeners, for all of your questions about Drake and in this episode we tried our best to answer them. Although, many of you thought we were asking for questions FOR Drake. And we tried to answer those as well.

Drake’s 31st birthday party was Bar Mitzvah themed, and included red cups and pizza boxes with his name on them. Naturally, we had to unpack this.

This episode started out as a fairly lighthearted discussion about Drake’s video game prowess with Waypoint’s Austin Walker, but then a discussion about the state of the world broke out and things took a turn for the darker.

Drake’s definitely got his own sense of style, but is he “good” with fashion? Naturally, we have no idea and instead deferred to two style-conscious editors from i-D, Hannah Ongley and Andre Wheeler. Are Drake’s big-ass sweaters cool? Or does he have the fashion sense of a lame uncle?

It’s October 24, which means it’s Drake’s birthday! We spend this episode imagining what his friends must get him as gifts and discussing how hard it must be to shop for the man who seemingly has everything.
