139: Are you sacrificing your happiness? with Raj Raghunathan

On today's podcast, I have the brilliant bestselling author of If You're So Smart, Why Aren't You Happy?. This book is a really juicy one and brings up a lot of food for thought that I think will resonate with a lot of you listeners. So I'm looking forward to speaking with Raj Raghunathan today. Raj earned his PhD from the Stern School of Business at New York University and is currently employed as a professor of marketing at the McCombs School of Business, the University of Texas at Austin. Raj's work juxtaposes theories from psychology, behavioural science, decision theory and marketing to document and explain intimate relationships.

Raj wrote his book as a result of discovering that many of the smartest, brightest, most successful people were profoundly unhappy. Raj set out to find an answer to this problem, and extensively researched happiness not just of students and business people, but also stay-at-home-parents, lawyers, and artists, among others. His research is fascinating and I can't wait for you to hear his wisdom on the podcast!
