Stevenage Shambles Raises Bigger Picture Villa Concerns

The capitulation Aston Villa demonstrated in their latest FA Cup failure was maddening. While it was the first blot on the copybook of Unai Emery, he at least, put out a team strong enough - on paper at least - to do the job against a well-drilled and organised Stevenage team. The Villa boss would have been surprised and even angry with what he saw at Villa Park.

Where to now? Will the result have a knock-on effect in terms of league form and recruitment? It certainly suggests that the application and attitude of the current crop of players isn't good enough for where the club needs to be.
