Spurs Defeat Showcases Aston Villa's Current Deficiencies
It was a bizarre late afternoon at Villa Park, when Aston Villa played some of their best football under Steven Gerrard, peppering an inspired Hugo Lloris, only to end up losing the match 4-0. Son Heung-min’s hat-trick did most of the damage, as Villa's team repeated the same short-comings that have been their downfall in recent months.
Judging by his interviews and press conferences, Steven Gerrard clearly knows what the issues are, but there are few signs of him correcting them on the pitch.
This is a shorter match reaction episode to the game before the main show in a couple of days time.
