On June 17, 2015 twenty-one year old Dylann Roof walked into the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in South Carolina where a bible reading class was being held and shortly afterwards opened fire. In the attack, Roof killed nine people and injured a tenth. He fled the scene, but many recognised the man and an A-P-B was put out on him.
