Ep.130 My Dog Sighs INSIDE - Ministry of Arts Podcast

In this episode Gary Mansfield speaks to My Dog Sighs (@mydogsighs)     After 10 years of giving his art away for free as part of the now infamous Free Art Friday project, My Dog Sighs has this year finally found himself strapped in to a well-deserved meteoric rise. With an incredible international following in Israel, Japan and of course the UK, five sold out shows under his belt, and a strong following of staunchly loyal fans on social media; My Dog Sighs is fast becoming an important figure on the contemporary art scene.   My Dog Sighs INSIDE (We shelter here sometimes)   ‘INSIDE’ opens Saturday 17th July at The Old Casino, Osborne Road, Southsea, PO5 3LT   This is my most ambitious project to date, spending over a year transforming a derelict building into an immersive world inhabited by my ‘Quiet Little Voices’.   When I first stumbled into Street art, the artists were often perceived as ghosts, with only the results of their endeavours visible to the world.   With this project I take my quiet little voices and shift the the narrative what is understood by ‘My Dog Sighs’. No longer is My Dog Sighs the scruffy guy with a bedraggled Mohawk the artist you thought, but, by entering ‘Inside’ you’re able to catch a glimpse of a new, alternative, world.   For tickets for My Dog Sigh’s INSIDE go to https://mydogsighs.co.uk     To Support this podcast from as little as £3 per month: www.patreon/ministryofarts   For full line up of confirmed artists go to https://www.ministryofarts.org Email: ministryofartsorg@gmail.com Social Media: @ministryofartsorg
