This week Gary Mansfield speaks Nick Hogben aka The Loveless Artist (@loveless_artist)

Nick has been creating art under the name Loveless Artist for around 3 years.

Having battled with his mental health nearly all his life and using art as a release, his practice is now one that is intertwined and reactive to the moment.

His linear, monochrome figures seem to battle for dominance on the canvas, sometimes red, sometimes black, sometimes a combination of both.  This allows us, the viewer, to witness his inner conflicts, which appear to have no winner… Yet.

Nick also hosts and produces the hugely popular Mouth of Manliness Podcast, where he discusses the mental health journey of himself and each invited guest (@mouthofmanliness)
