The Invisible Man (2020)
We're back from our winter break (and sketch show break, which you can still listen to here), and we are joined by Northern Broadsides Producer Eve Stollery to discuss The Invisible Man (2020)
Written and directed by Leigh Whannell, and loosely based on the novel of the same name by H. G. Wells. It follows a woman who believes she is being stalked and gaslit by her abusive and wealthy boyfriend even after his apparent suicide, and ultimately deduces that he has acquired the ability to become invisible. The film stars Elisabeth Moss, Aldis Hodge, Storm Reid, Harriet Dyer, Michael Dorman, and Oliver Jackson-Cohen. It was originally supposed to be part of the shelved Universal Monsters Shared Universe.
If you enjoyed the episode then please share it around, and let us know what you thought! Can an invisible man be effectively made on stage? How do we build horror and suspense effectively? Why have there been few horror plays other than the Woman In Black? Hit us up on our socials, or email us:
