After spending years toiling away in accountancy in London Ian Harkin decided that life was too short to be spent doing something you didn’t really love and so he decided to follow his heart and do something he was really passionate about. Always feeling uncomfortable buying dolls that were an unrealistic representation of the female form for his young nieces he decided to fill a gap in the market and create a wholesome doll and so the ever popular Lottie Doll was born.

Like all good businesses the company was born at a kitchen table and first a Kate Middleton Doll was created which was extremely successful and so the demand for this new doll grew. Now operating from a busy headquarters in Donegal, Lottie is going from strength to strength and the Lottie and Finn dolls and accessories are now stocked in more than 500 stores across Ireland and the UK, there’s also a series of books based on the characters and the company has won numerous international awards.
