As Meath residents digest the news that they are to lose their garda divisional headquarters to Westmeath we had reaction from Junior Minister Damien English and also separately from local councillors. We looked at the need for more investment in home care to reduce so called ‘ bed blockers’ and as a new survey from SIPTU revealed that childcare workers are leaving the sector due to bad pay and working conditions the union spoke to us about the challenges facing their members.
