Paddy Smith ' Cocooner diary of a lockdown'

What could possibly happen to a 77 year old man never short of an opinion cocooning in Trim in 2020 well a lot apparently, first, his dog Rocko dies. Then he starts counting stones as he walks around the house. He tries gallantly to complete a 1,000 piece jigsaw and eventually gives up. At one stage, he thinks he’s living in an episode of Father Ted, but comes quickly back down to earth when he has to cut his wife Mary’s toenails. Paddy Smith has written a great new book called Cocooner a lockdown diary, he joined Sinéad for a chat about the book
