Coeliac awareness week
There’s a condition in Ireland that an estimated 36,500 people are living with but they remain undiagnosed. An estimated 7,300 children who have the condition remain undiagnosed. This condition is a chronic auto immune disease which impacts on growth and development in children as well as impacting on their concentration at school and their energy levels in all areas of their lives. What is the condition known as…..Coeliac disease.
This week marks Coeliac awareness week and the The Coeliac Society of Ireland has enlisted its army of 3,600 members for sponsored walks to raise awareness of the issue. Gill Brennan CEO of Coeliac society of Ireland joined Sinead on 11-1 to raise awareness of the condition
