Will rural pharmacies soon be a thing of the past?

Last week community Pharmacists across the country were left in shock as the Department of Health made a surprise cuts to pharmacy funding.

Pharmacist's have come out in objection to this announcement arguing that these cuts will hit rural pharmacies the hardest, adding to the issues that already face the prosperity of rural Ireland.

The cuts have also been said to undermine the Government’s Sláintecare strategy, which aims to keep health services in the local community.

To discuss this further Joe is joined by - Marie Hogan from Hogan's Pharmacy..
