The Coaches of the Future

In this episode of La Liga Lowdown, we look at five up-and-coming coaches. The coaches of the future. We held a poll for listeners and followers to pick five former LaLiga players who are currently taking their first steps into the world of coaching and, in this episode, we discuss how they’ve been transitioning to the dugout and what kind of coaches they could become.

It’s hosted by Euan McTear (@emctear), with five different contributors to discuss the five coaches picked. Matt Clark (@MattClark_08) talks about Diego Forlán and his new role at Peñarol in Uruguay. Paco Polit (@pacopolitENG) tells us about Guti, or José María Gutiérrez as he now likes to be called. Sam Leveridge (@samleveridge) reports on Raúl and his rise through Real Madrid’s academy. Dan Parry (@DanParry_) reflects Xabi Alonso’s return to Real Sociedad’s academy. And Román de Arquer (@Aeroslavee) tells us all about Xavi Hernandez’s coaching philosophy.
