Tim Harford

Tim Harford, economist, broadcaster and author, is helping us make sense of the numbers, statistics, graphs and charts that are increasingly overwhelming us on social media. He explains why we need to calm down when we look at them, and he shows us how to distinguish between those who brandish them like weapons to win political arguments, and those who use them to help explain what is going on in the world. The author of eight best-selling books, Tim has spoken at TED, PopTech and the Sydney Opera House. He is an associate member of Nuffield College, Oxford and an honorary fellow of the Royal Statistical Society and was made an OBE for services to improving economic understanding in the New Year honours of 2019.
