Better together: what is the true power of community?

Whether in lockdown or not, one of the most important things we’ve learnt during coronavirus is the true power of community, from coming together digitally, to supporting friends and neighbours in person.

In this episode of In It Together, brought to you by Co-op and hosted by Yasmin Evans, we speak to Toni Jones, founder of the world’s first self-help book club, about bringing her 12,000-strong community online during lockdown; and Helen Carroll, Director of Community Strategy and Activation at Co-op, about how helping others pulled her through a tough couple of months, whether personally, or via Co-op initiatives such as the new Co-operate platform or Member Pioneers’ network.

Inspired by the stories of community spirit we’ve covered? Do something good in your local community by going to the Co-operate platform and offering your support to others at co-operate.coop.co.uk; or going to the Co-op website and signing-up to become a Member Pioneer at coop.co.uk/member-pioneers. #AD
