Harriet Braine talks Nigella Lawson, exes and auditioning for BGT

The most niche comedian on the circuit, Harriet Braine joins the Hot Mess Clubhouse this week to play a fake trumpet and plan her Taylor Swift-style takeover with host Lucy Vine. The comedy pioneer has been killing it since winning Best Newcomer at the Musical Comedy Awards, winning the Funny Women Stage Award in 2016 and being a finalist in So You Think You’re Funny the same year. In 2017, she was a finalist in the Amused Moose Comedy Awards and was crowned Buxton Fringe Individual Comedy Award Winner. She’s now heading to Edinburgh Fringe with her third solo show, Les Admirables, a historical and feminist musical comedy show. On this episode, she chats about sexy Nigella Lawson, lizards from outer space, snogging inappropriate people and auditioning for Britain’s Got Talent.
