Episode 113: Love Feasts, Banquets and Liturgics with Professor Andrew Messmer
This is a very fun episode for me. It started off with an email from a listener who corrected me on a point I made about the history of the Christian liturgy. It turns out, the listener is a university academic, who has written papers on the foundations of the Christian liturgy. Well I just had to have Professor Andrew Messmer on the show. New information coming out from the academy is always really exciting, especially when it reassesses older theories and ideas. I hope to have Dr. Messmer back on the show again to discuss great new ideas that are coming out of the field. If there are aspects of ancient Christianity you would like to know more about, email me and I can try to put them into a future episode.
