A tempestuous public life made her popular in tabloids, but English singer Amy Winehouse was embraced by music critics and fans for her rugged charm, brash sense of humor, distinctively soulful and jazzy vocals. She recieved 5 Grammy awards despite having released only two albums. In 2011, Amy tragically joined the "27 Club" after dying of acute alcohol poisoning.
