#60 Professor Andrew Scholey - Human Psychopharmacologist
It is really special that I got to chat with Professor Andrew Scholey Ph.D., CPsychol AFBPsS.
A huge thanks to the team at Ārepa for helping make this happen :)
Andrew's Bio -
"I'm a Professor of Human Psychopharmacology based in Melbourne, Australia, and Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK. I have affiliations with Monash and Swinburne Universities.
My research aims to understand the mood and cognitive effects of 'nutra' interventions (nutrition, nutrients, nutraceuticals), drugs and alcohol. Specifically, I'm interested in the human brain and behavioural processes underlying these effects. This research aims to understand acute cognitive enhancement and develop interventions to treat neurocognitive decline and mental health conditions.
I am Chief Scientific Officer for Ārepa Nootropics who produce brain enhancing products. In this role, and working as a consultant across the brain health industry, I work to translate evidence to benefit brain and mental health."
