How high will the Bank of England take rates?

The Bank of England has recently increased interest rates to 3 per cent, taking them to their highest level since 2008 in a bid to tame inflation. But how high will rates end up going?

This week David Thorpe, FTAdviser's contributing editor, is joined by Gavyn Davies, chairman at Fulcrum Asset Management and a former chief economist at Goldman Sachs, Stephen Bell, chief economist at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, and Ed Smith, chief investment officer at Rathbones, to find out.

They also discuss the impact of fiscal policy, with a potential return to austerity, and the impact of the labour market on UK inflation.

The FTAdviser Podcast is the podcast for financial advisers, brought to you by FTAdviser. Each week, FTAdviser is joined by guests from the industry to discuss the week in news and pressing industry issues.
