63. Fearlessly Failing: Wrap up with Lola & Matt

Far out! How are we already at the end of season 5!! Thank you so much for sticking with us through this lockdown; we’ve been recording many of our interviews online which means sometimes they sound a little less crisp but that absolutely hasn’t stopped us and your feedback has been so inspiring to keep going. It’s been an absolutely joy to share these stories with you. Every single person that has come onto the podcast has opened up and shared a part of their heart with me, you, us.

Season 5 has been a special season as most of Victoria remains in lockdown we’ve set up a little recording space in the kitchen of Dad’s holiday house here in Torquay and had people on the podcast from all over the world; Ash Brewer is an Aussie actress living in LA and she shares her experiences from jumping the Australian pond into the American LA film and TV scene. We’ve had yogi and founder of Yoke Yoga share his own personal journey with yoga as well as the challenges and rewards of building a mindful heart lead business. Natural Harry jumped on twice to talk about her values on living a minimal life, tiny homes, values and societies expectations and her new book “home.” Life coach, motivational speaker and author Pervis Taylor joined us all the way from New York City, he spoke about fear and how it often stems from a lack of control. Pippy Pomeranz shared her journey to motherhood and her ethos for never ever giving up on a dream. Actor Travis Jerkier blew me way with his humble nature and kindness, he’s worked with some of the greats (and being directed but Angelina Jolie) and yet he’s so grounded and willing share. We had my mate Cartia Mallan on fro the Gold Coast; she’s a super creative influencer and inspires so many young women to love themselves and she is unapologetically herself, which i love! Ben Miliken is an Aussie actors based in LA, he’s in a new film called “The Mighty Oak” and he gave us a little insight to the audition and shooting process of his film. Sydney yogi Kate Kendall bravely shared some of the darker times that have ultimately shaped the person she is now, she’s an iconic Sydney yogi and co-founder of the yoges and fitness studio Flow. Finally Bosso and i did a birthday episode because our birthdays are just 2 days apart so we interviewed each other for that episode, any episode is a lot of fun with Boss because we always let our guards down and we love real, honest conversations. So there you have it; season 5 boiled down to one paragraph; if any of these guests tickle your fancy, give them a listen because, honestly; they’re great humans and all have something special to share.

A little about season 6; we’re ahead with all the online recordings; i’m already getting pumped for a season full of creative, funny, driven people all marching to the beat of their own drum.
