The Same But Different - Emer O'Neill

In this weeks episode host Sinead O'Moore is joined by Emer O’Neill - the newest member of RTE’s Today Show, an author, and advocate and a mother of 2 doing her best to make positive changes in the world.

Emer in her own words is too black to be white and too white to be black.

Growing up in Ireland, nobody looked like her, had hair like her, skin like her, was her.

To fit in, she didn’t share its impact. But it was taking its toll on her self identity, self love, self worth and mental health.

And now as a mother of 2, she is doing what she can to advocate for meaningful change.

We talk about her career leap.

Breastfeeding in green rooms.

Racial abuse.

And her new children's book, "The Same but Different".
