Dr Rosena Allin-Khan | How to make a difference.

Dr Rosena Allin-Khan is an MP and A&E Doctor who joins me on the podcast to talk about the circumstances that led to her embarking on a career in politics.

After qualifying as a doctor Rosena spent time working as an humanitarian aid doctor in Gaza, Asia, Israel and Africa before working as a junior doctor in the Accident & Emergency department of St George's Hospital in Tooting, where she is now the elected Member of Parliament.

Alongside her work as an MP Rosena has continued to work on the frontline during the Covid-19 crisis.

In this episode of the podcast @drrosena explains:

  • How she came to a career in politics five years ago in 2015.
  • The challenges she has faced during her political career.
  • The insight that being a working doctor has given her to better represent her constituency.
  • How we can all contribute to our communities in a meaningful way.
  • Why a mental health pandemic is happening in tandem with Covid-19.
  • Why it’s so understandable there is fear and confusion concerning the facts around the coronavirus and vaccine.
  • How she remains focused and resolute even when faced with barriers and objections and much more...
