Facebook Vice President of global affairs Nick Clegg wrote a blog post Wednesday saying Facebook plans to spend more than $1 billion on the news industry over the next three years. The post also reiterated Facebook’s position on the Australian Media Code which is to say, it prefers to make deals without being subject to the code. What does this mean for the average Australian and for Aussie news outlets?
