Steve and Des chat to Aoife Gallagher about the growth of conspiracy theories online and where q-anon came from. Aoife works with ISD Global, which is a think tank that researches the rise of extremism online. She gives us great insight into why conspiracy theories are growing in popularity. We also chat about the mainstreaming of Q Anon and the fact thatTrump embraces them. We finish up by chatting about the groups in Ireland that have connected themselves to international extremist groups.
